COURSE OF OXYWELLNESS THERAPY

After determining the patient's suitability for therapy, treatment can begin. In order to achieve the best effectiveness, the procedure should be applied daily – ideally three or five times a week – during therapy, as only in this case can the long-term beneficial effect of HBOT be guaranteed.

HBOT CAN HELP WITH THE FOLLOWING HEALTY ISSUES:

  • Concussion
  • Skull injury,
  • Brain injury
  • Brain abscess
  • Anaerobic and mixed
  • Bacterial, infection, gas gangrene
  • Autism spectrum disorder, ASD
  • Pst-irradiation bone and tissue damage, necrosis
  • Skin transplantation, musculocutaneous lobe transplantation, limb reimplantation
  • Cerebral palsy (CP), oxygen-starved paralysis, spastic paralysis
  • Tumors
  • Burn, forstbite
  • Tinnitus, acute nerve hearing loss
  • Gas embolism
  • Glaucoma, corneal transplantation, ophthalmology

  • Irritable bowel syndrome

  • IBSZ, ulcerative colitis,
  • Crohn's disease
  • Lyme disease
  • Ready illness
  • Diving accident
  • Decompression syndrome
  • Compartment syndrome, Crush syndrome, traumatic muscle necrosis
  • Infertility
  • Non-healing wound, diabetic foot, ulcers, Neuroblastoma, stage IV
  • Psoriasis
  • Plastic surgery
  • Retinal central artery occlusion (CRAO)
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Sports injuries and HBOT
  • Stroke
  • Coal monoside poisoning
  • PRE-TREATMENT ACTIONS

    TREATMENT

HBOT treatments are accompanied by strict safety measures and patients are assisted by qualified staff.

Outside the chamber, they constantly monitor the condition of the occupants, with whom they communicate with the help of a microphone. On the one hand, this makes it possible to give patients precise instructions during the procedure, and on the other hand, those participating in the treatment can immediately indicate if they have any requests or questions. The crew checks the equipment before and after each chamber start-up and responds immediately to any problems that may arise (e.g. power outage) based on a pre-developed plan.

Patients can enjoy comfortable armchairs, reading and watching TV in the pantry. 98% pure oxygen is inhaled using a nasal cannula.

The procedure begins with a slow increase in pressure. Meanwhile, a roaring sound is heard. Only in the middle ear is a change in pressure noticeable, the rest of the body does not experience deviations. Since it is essential to compensate for the pressure change in the middle ear at the beginning of the treatment, we pay special attention to this.

The pressure required for therapy is reached slowly, in a quarter of an hour. After reaching a pressure of 50-100 kPa, or more simply 5-10 meters of water depth, there is no longer any need to equalize middle ear pressure. The flow of colorless, odorless, tasteless pure oxygen in the nasal cannula is started already when sitting in the chamber. It is recommended to breathe through the nose, Breathing is no heavier than usual, it can be done as usual, without straining.

If there is any problem or sickness during the treatment before it is completed, the staff will immediately reduce the pressure in the room and open the door as soon as possible.

Normally, after the treatment time, the pressure begins to slowly decrease, in which case a buzzing sound is heard again. The change in pressure can cause the ear to become plugged again, so pressure equalization may still be necessary. After therapy, you can go home. We may feel fatigue, drowsiness, which is quite normal

    PRESSURE COMPENSATION

As the pressure increases, the ears become plugged – this is a natural phenomenon. However, in the long run, it can have unpleasant consequences harmful to health, so it must be eliminated. To do this, keep your mouth closed, squeeze your nose firmly and thus try to blow vigorously. Repeat this until your ears adapt to the increased pressure.

Another technique is to tilt your head forward and hold your nose in an attempt to swallow hard. It may also be effective to hold the tip of your tongue against the upper denture and palate while holding your nose to try to lift the base of your tongue.

If equalization fails, the blockage becomes unpleasant and painful after a while. In this case, there is a possibility of damage to the eardrum, so be sure to indicate to the staff so that they can stop the pressure increase.

ATTENTION! Nicotine significantly reduces the effectiveness of HBOT treatment, adversely affecting the oxygen uptake capacity of blood circulation. Therefore, it is recommended to suspend smoking for the entire period of therapy. Smoking and the use of nicotine patches are prohibited for two hours before and after treatment.
